Sun Pipes bring natural sunlight into your home, office, or warehouse. Sun Pipes transform dark, sun starved areas of your home into areas that are bright and alive with natural lighting.
Sun Pipes are hollow aluminum pipe with real silver lining its interior. It is more reflective than a mirror! Above the roof, natural daylight shines into the Sun Pipe through a clear dome and reflects down the pipe to a white dome on the ceiling. All one sees from inside the room is a white ceiling-mounted light diffuser glowing brightly with all the natural daylight light the sky has to offer. It literally fills your room floor-to-ceiling with 100% pure natural daylight...the best light you can get!
Sun Pipes pay & pay & pay for themselves. When used instead of a skylight, Sun Pipe more than pays for itself through winter heating and summer air-conditioning energy savings. Add year-round lighting energy savings, and it's easy to see why Sun Pipe is both a wise and very enjoyable investment.
SunPipe gives maximum illumination on both sunny and overcast days. You'll be amazed at how much light the SunPipe transmits during nights with a full moon, and we're amazed that during thunderstorms, when our power's gone out, the completely enclosed stairwell where we've got our SunPipe installed is actually brighter than our foyer, with its one large window and 4 skylights! Don't install a SunPipe in a bedroom, unless you don't mind sleeping in bright light on nights when the moon is full!
SunPipe is available in three diameters: 9", 13", and 21". Choose SunPipe-9 for 100 sq. ft. areas (e.g., a 10' x 10' room). Choose SunPipe-13 for 240 sq. ft. areas (e.g., a 12' x 20' room). Both SunPipe-9 and SunPipe-13 will fit between standard joists in ceilings, which means you won't have to cut the joists to install them. SunPipe-21 is for larger areas, such as warehouses.
